A holiday message from the Chair
It has been a pleasure and a privilege serving as board chair of Project Access NOW during 2009. It has been a year of great growth: the number of patients enrolled per month has doubled, we now have more than 2400 committed physician volunteers and have been able to connect more than 2,000 people to more than $7,000,000 of donated healthcare services.
The energy and abilities and dedication of our fantastic staff (Linda, Lorraine, Margaret, and Elgin), our volunteers, our board members, and our community partners have combined to move Project Access NOW forward and allowed the uninsured in our communities to receive cost-effective healthcare.
Our success has been gratifying, but creates next year’s challenges. More patients needing care coordination, more physician capacity to develop, more funds that need to be raised… We have a wonderful core group and welcome each additional person’s participation (direct service, volunteering, donating etc.) during the coming year. I want to thank everyone for their efforts and I look forward to 2010 as the year of expanding healthcare access for all.
Sincerely,
Mark Rosenberg, MD
