Project Access NOW welcomes Community Volunteers
Community Volunteers are beginning to appear on a regular basis in the Project Access NOW offices and are a very welcome addition! As our program expands and patient enrollment numbers consistently climb, these invaluable folks are bringing their time, talent and expertise to share with us. They’ve successfully initiated the patient exit surveys, which gather critical evaluation data. They are also increasing our ability to navigate our eligible patients through the detailed and varied medication assistance programs.
Over time, we envision them integrating in helpful and exciting ways as we expand and enhance our services to the low-income uninsured patients in our Portland/Vancouver Metropolitan service area. Their future with Project Access NOW will grow to include interpretation services, patient entry surveys, pharmacy enrollment data entry, event planning, community volunteer facilitation and scheduling, front desk reception, clerical assistance, patient care coordination, volunteer provider credentialing, assisting in the patient eligibility/enrollment process, and also move into all the appropriate sites that help to provide access to health care for our patients.
Sara, Janet, Kathi, Molly, Vicki, Sandra, and Mariah are the base of the foundation that is building this newest effort within Project Access NOW and bring a wealth of knowledge and energy that is fundamental to sustaining our program.
We are actively looking for more people just like these to join us. We look forward to growing a corps of talented, community-minded neighbors from around the region that will lend a hand and enjoy a sense of satisfaction in knowing that they are a very important part of our accomplishments.
Please contact Lorraine at 503.222.6541 to join in on our efforts.
